Australian Pole Expo (APE) 2024 Terms and Conditions
Please take the time to read the Australian Pole Expo Terms and Conditions for workshops and event registrations. They will apply to all persons registering to the Australian Pole Expo.
Online Registration & Payment Policy
Registrations are made online via Australian Pole Expo website. Once you have filled out your registration form and made a full or part payment you will be registered with APE, all APE packages are GST inclusive.
Please know that places are not reserved without payment and if full payment is not received by 5pm on Thursday 31st October 2024, the attendee’s registration may be cancelled and the Organiser reserves the right to claim all payment due otherwise. Australian Pole Expo reserves all rights to refuse registration of a potential participant if it feels that the individual may breach the Terms and Conditions here within.
Australian Pole Expo accepts online registrations only to register for the event. Registrants must fill in the registration form that can be found on the Australian Pole Expo website by 31st October 2024. Travel and accommodation is the responsibility of the Registrant and is not included in the price of the event (excepted when booking the Platinum Package, all inclusive for accommodation). Please see the Australian Pole Expo Website. Prices are always presented as GST inclusive. If selecting a payment plan, an administration fee is applicable.
Cancellation and Transfers
No refunds will be made for cancellations. If you are unable to attend APE and wish to transfer your registration to another attendee, you must send a completed APE Attendee Transfer Form (available from us on request) to the Organiser no later than 5pm on Thurday 31st October 2024. A charge of $50 applies. Phone transfers will not be accepted, if proper notification is not provided within this deadline, the Organiser reserves the right to refuse the transfer. Transfer requests made after 31st October 2024 will incur a $250 transfer fee. Individuals are responsible for cancelling their own travel reservations. Australian Pole Expo does not accept liability for hotel, travel, or meal costs before and after the event.
Confirmation of Registration
Confirmation of your registration for the Event will be sent to you via email by the Organiser once a deposit payment is received. Your confirmatory email forms a legally binding contract, once you receive the email from us acknowledging that your deposit has been received and successfully processed you agree to make payment of the full amount of your selected package. We will not be responsible if you fail to receive confirmation because you have supplied us with an incorrect email address. If you do not receive your confirmation email within two business days, please send an email to [email protected] to make sure that we have received registration and deposit payment.
Event Program
The Organiser will endeavour to ensure the published event program is correct at the time of the actual event. It may, however, due to unforeseen circumstances, be necessary to alter the program before the event, and the Organiser reserves the right to do so without notice. Australian Pole Expo reserves the right to make changes to the published event program (but not the overall content) e.g. venue, location, timings or instructors if one or more of the advertised instructors is unable to attend. In such cases, you will have no claim against Australian Pole Expo in respect of such changes, and you will not be entitled to cancel.
The Organiser reserves the right to cancel or postpone the event, in which case another alternative will be offered to attendees that have paid. Given serious cause outside of the Organiser’s influence (including but not limited to force majeure), the Organiser shall not be liable for any direct or indirect costs borne by the registered attendees. In the event of any occurrence not foreseen in these ‘Terms and Conditions’, the decision of the Organiser shall be final.
Force Majeure
Australian Pole Expo will not be liable for any default or delay in the performance of its obligations, to the extent that such default or delay is caused, directly or indirectly, by an event beyond the reasonable control of Australian Pole Expo such as, but not limited to: fire, flood, earthquake, elements of nature, acts or regulations of government bodies, court orders, acts of war, terrorism, riots, civil disorders, rebellions or revolutions, strikes, lockouts or labour difficulties. Such event or circumstance giving rise to the default or delay is a Force Majeure Event.
Data Protection
By accepting the present Terms and Conditions you accept the personal information provided by you to be held on Australian Pole Expo database. Australian Pole Expo will not sell, trade, or transfer such personal information to third parties. Australian Pole Expo may use your personal information for marketing, advertising or product/service offering purposes. For example, we could use your information for direct emailing of our newsletters, online surveys or notifications.

Photography
All visitors acknowledge that they may be photographed or filmed by Australian Pole Expo's official photographer/videographer, and consent to their image being used in promotional material by the Organiser.
Liability and Insurance
All participants must be 18 years old or older to be able to participate in the APE and will be required to fill out and sign a risk assessment waiver before participating in any workshops. Australian Pole Expo will not assume any responsibility whatsoever for any damage or injury to persons or property during the event or trainings. The registrant is recommended to arrange their personal travel and health insurances.
Australian Pole Expo shall have no liability for loss or damage to any of your personal property except where this is due to the negligence of Australian Pole Expo. Australian Pole Expo will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss suffered by you; or any loss of property or personable (direct or indirect) suffered by you. Australian Pole Expo total liability to you in contract, tort (including but not limited to negligence) or otherwise shall not exceed the relevant booking fee paid.
Applicable Laws and Competence
The relationship between Australian Pole Expo and the registrant will be exclusively governed and constructed within the laws of Australia without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law. If no agreement can be reached, any dispute related to the commercial relation will be taken in charge by the exclusive competence of the Australian jurisdiction.
Participant Conduct
All participants must be respectful of the APE staff, trainers, instructors, and coaches throughout the program. Inappropriate or offensive behaviour and/or language will not be tolerated at any time. Australian Pole Expo reserves the right to remove the guest from the event if they behave in a manner unreasonable or potentially disruptive towards Australian Pole Expo or the well being of other guests, its organisers or staff members.
Identification
All participants will be required to provide identification upon arrival at the event, this must either be a current Drivers License containing photo ID, a current Passport, or an alternative APE approved proof of age and photo ID.
No Smoking All Expo areas are non-smoking. Anyone who wishes to smoke may do so outside of the building. We appreciate your cooperation.
Hotel Accounts and Accommodation
Participants Individual Accounts will be charged directly to Participants In-Room accounts and are the sole responsibility of the relevant participants for that room or charge. These include but are not limited to In-Room Dining, Guest Laundry Services, Mini Bar, In-Room Movies, Valet or Self-Parking charges. Accommodation purchased as part of the Gold Packages will be shared accommodation of three APE participants per room. Please note, all triple share accommodation will come with one roll away bed. Sharing requests should be made upon registration. Accommodation purchased as part of the Platinum Packages will be shared accommodation of two APE participants per room, Non Poler Packages must be purchased in conjunction with a platinum package. Sharing requests should be made upon registration.
